Hultsfredsfest is #1 on this list, because it seems tailor-made for me. They're not content with just getting some of the best smaller “buzz-bands” such as Braids, Star Slinger, Tennis or Foster the People, but they've also got some huge bigger favourites in there too: Morrissey, Crystal Castles,MF Doom and Suede. They were sadly missed last year (due to declining ticket sales, the festival cancelled a week before it was supposed to take place), but now they're back - better than ever. You know, Bootsy Collins is going to be there P-funking his groovy heart out probably dressed like some freaky space-pimp from the future. Even Primal Scream are there playing their Screamadelica album (their best album, don't let anyone tell you different). But those, my friends, however are just the cake. The icing is London's post-dubstep pioneers Mount Kimbie whose Crooks & Lovers album was quite possibly my favourite album of last year. Gig of the summer? For me, probably, but as I said right at the beginning you might be better off doing the exact opposite to me.
